Antenna Synthesis

Very many models and effective strategies for the antenna design and optimal synthesis have been developed at LEMMA, with applications ranging from satellite and radar telecommunications to microwave biomedical hyperthermia.

In the following table, all the developed approaches are listed and grouped on the basis of the desired kind of electromagnetic radiation (e.g., pencil or shaped beams) and the degrees of freedom available to the designer (e.g., the continuous aperture source distribution or some parameters of the beam-forming network of a direct radiating array).

For each combination of the two concepts (i.e., kind of field vs. unknown of the synthesis problem), the table allows the readers to download all the publications describing the corresponding design approaches.z
